Symbols/Variables in the Find Dialog

Hi, Kirk,

There are times in the Find dialog where I wish PM had the Symbols capability of FileMaker Pro.

For example, I'm searching for those pictures in a contact sheet of a thousand who's Caption field has at least one character.

Once I find those pictures, I know the remaining have nothing in their Caption field. That's what I'm really looking for.

I've attached a PDF file of search symbols from FileMaker.

That is my feature request.

Yes.

I have a public folder where images are dropped into, and some pictures might have some IPTC fields filled.

I would like to avoid duplicate info and/or replacing info.

Yes.

I have a public folder where images are dropped into, and some pictures might have some IPTC fields filled.

I would like to avoid duplicate info and/or replacing info.

I have modified the Find dialog and the Find/Replace dialog to allow searching for an empty field.  Just leave the Find field blank and empty fields will match.

This will appear in the initial release of version 4.5.
