Launching into Photoshop after a re-install
« on: May 19, 2014, 02:09:26 PM »
I have just re-installed PhotoMechanic after the upload function stopped working (for ftp - photoshelter etc) Everything now works again but I have a new problem. Previously I would launch - E - to edit my pictures in Photoshop and the photograph would open, now when I press E photoshop launches but the photograph does not open. Any help greatly appreciated, I am in the middle of a very busy week!

Are you using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?

Have you tried re-choosing your editors?

If you switch out to your OS's file manager (Mac OS X: Finder or Windows: Windows Explorer) and drag and drop the same photo onto Photoshop, does it open?

Hello Kirk. I am using Elements 11 on Mac 10.9.2. I have tried re-choosing the editors a couple of times. Dropping the file onto Photoshop does open the pictures. I am not convinced it is allowing me to choose the actual application, or what looks like an alias - I have uploaded a screenshot.
Thanks
Andy

Andy,

You need to choose the Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor in the Support Files folder.

Then it will work fine.

HTH,
