GoPro Hero 3 / Shutter Speed
« on: September 03, 2013, 12:29:21 PM »
Hi Kirk!

Got my GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition on saturday.
When taking a series of images in Timelapse-Mode PM shows a shutter speed os 1".
When viewing the image with exiftool it shows the correct value.

PM:
Code: [Select]
Lens (mm): 2.8
ISO: 142
Aperture: 2.8
Shutter: 1.0

Exiftool:
Code: [Select]
Exposure Time                   : 1/60
F Number                        : 2.8
ISO                             : 142
Shutter Speed Value             : 1/60
Aperture Value                  : 2.8
Shutter Speed                   : 1/60

If you find some time please have a look at this.

Attached one image of a timelapse series.

Thanks a lot
Sven

Hi Sven,

The GoPro is writing the shutter speed value (an APEX number) as a "rational" of (-x / -y) instead of just (x / y).  Very stupid but legit.  I had assumed the denominator would always be an unsigned number.  This has been fixed.
