Finding images based on Caption (or caption is empty)
« on: October 18, 2013, 07:03:47 AM »
Hi !

Is it possible to find and select images where the description/caption IPTC-field is empty? How can I do it?

(Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 13915 / Mac OS X 10.8.5)

Sincerely,
Per Nicolaisen

Sure.  Set the Find panel to find "Any of the words", make the find text blank/empty, set In: to "All photos" set the Caption to be searched, and then click Find.  Your photos that have an empty caption should be selected.

I just tried it and it worked for me.

Good to know that! It is very useful to check if there is something missing.
Thanks for the tip.
