PM5 Refuses to open parent folders on server
« on: November 25, 2013, 09:40:12 AM »
Hi,

I have just set up a Windows 2012 server with a Gigabit Network. So far I have shared the data drive and access it via \\192.168.1.2\shared_folder_name

We now have this strange behviour where PM5 refuses to open a fodler above the current in the tree. (We have used Workgroup shares before, no problem.)

Top\Middle\Sub

If I have Sub open and click on Top, nothing happens. But if I close the Sub contact sheet tab, then it works. Any ideas?

Rgds

pmagi,

We're currently looking into this issue, it's happening consistently. Right now you can't open a parent if a sub is open.

Great, thanks! Is that due to a recent PM update for everyone or is it soemthink related to teh server environment?

It's due to the recent updates to PM.  It will be fixed soon.

Hi Kirk,
ooops, I read this thread too late, because I struggled for some days with this issue, now I now there will be a solution soon, THX ... and forget my E-Mail-request to Jon ... sometimes there is simply not enough time to read all threads carefully ;-)

Nice greetings
Micha
