Select images based on EXIF?
« on: August 23, 2014, 02:12:09 AM »
I can see how one can search / select images based on filename and/or IPTC.  What about based on EXIF?  My situation is I have a folder with images from two different cameras, and I want to be able to separate them out into different folders based on the camera model.

Thanks.

Yes.  Look at your variable list. EXIF elements are in there including camera model, serial number, etc.

So would I have to use an intermediate step of writing the relevant EXIF information into an IPTC field for all images via the stationery pad (and an appropriate variable), then do a Find based on that IPTC field?  Or can I somehow do a Find directly on the EXIF?

Yes, you would have to do exactly that.
