Multiple words keywords??
« on: August 31, 2014, 09:07:29 PM »
What is the best way to keep multiple words keywords intact?
I’m using Photo Mechanic and then Light room 5...

I have tried using quotes as
“NEW ORLEANS”  but when I open the file in Photoshop I ended with a triple quote on each end! “””NEW ORLEANS””"

or should I use semi colons?
; NEW ORLEANS;

If I just use commas like this ,NEW ORLEANS, once uploaded, keywords are breaking up in single words like this below
,NEW, ORLEANS,

Thanks in advance

Check your IPTC/XMP preferences.  If your preferences are to use semi-colons, use semicolons to separate your keywords.  If your preferences are to use commas, use commas to separate your keywords.

I guess it's an issue with the site where I'm uploading the pictures too then. My IPTC/XMP preferences are set to commas, then when I edit them in LR they still commas, (if I open them in PSD they show as semicolons instead of commas) but when I upload them, all double words keywords they break in single word...I might have to contact them then.

Thanks!
