Vertical jpeg photos rotate to horizontal question
« on: November 10, 2014, 06:36:28 PM »
I ingest jpeg photos to Photo Mechanic, add captions and tag the ones I want to upload to the papers website to be published.  How come the photos I shot vertically show up on the website as horizontal?  How do I change the photo rotation so that the vertical photos stay that way?

You can use the Apply Rotation to JPEGs command on the Tools menu.

Or you can save the image to a new file, but I wouldn't recommend this unless you were going to scale or watermark the image in the process since you'll get some quality loss due to JPEG compression.
