Error When Turning on Favorites View

If I enable "Favorites" from the "View" menu a dialog is displayed with the following messag. "An unsupported operation was attempted."  If I acknowledge the dialog the Favorites view is displayed and am not able to add anything to the Favorites view.

Also if the Favorites view is enabled and I launch PM the same error dialog is displayed and I need to "Alt + Tab" to dismiss the dialog and PM finishes launching.

Did you previously have some Favorites set in the Favorites view from an earlier version of Photo Mechanic?

Yes I had several favorites set with PM 4.5.3

Does PM 4.5.3 still load them just fine?

We made absolutely no changes to the Favorites view from version 4.5.x to version 4.6 of Photo Mechanic.

I would need to re-install 4.5.3 to determine.  I am so confident in the PM releases I uninstalled 4.5.3 prior to 4.6 install.

I can certainly re-install 4.5.3 and verify.

Okay, I re-installed PM 4.5.3 and validated the following behavior

PM 4.5.3 Installed - Favorites View works

PM 4.6 & PM 4.5.3 Installed - Favorites View works

PM 4.6 Installed - Favorites View does not work.

OK, it may be that when you uninstalled PM 4.5.3 it removed the PMFavorites.ocx file.  If you uninstalled PM 4.5.3 after you had installed PM 4.6 then there was no PMFavorites.ocx file left for it to use.  Reinstalling PM 4.6 should cause all required files to be installed.
