Drag and drop file

When looking at my files in contact sheet the files a nicely grouped in nef+jpg as it should be but I have no control of what file follows in a drag and drop move. Now, if I do a drag and drop to a local folder it drops every file; nef + jpg + xmp (sidecar).

Are there any RFC regarding this matter?
It would be nice if there were a setting like in Preferences/Launching; "When in RAW+JPG mode, editing a photo will:"

I can see your reasoning but think this may confuse people as well. Anyway, without this setting, you could quickly "unjoin" the RAW+JPG pair so that you can perform the "split" move you want by pressing the "J" key. Pressing it again will join the files up again.
