Yes, I toggle between sharpening on and off quite a bit:
If I ingest new pic (RAW) I usually have sharpening ON as the pics in camera are recorded without any sharpening applied. The PM sharpening is just ideal to judge the critical sharpness (to counteract the anti-alias-filter of the camera).
After the pictures are processed in NX2 and CS the final version is usually with a slight amount of sharpening (somtimes local, sometimes general). But if I look at these with PM sharpening on (for example to select pics to send to customers), they look completely oversharpened and I have to turn it off again.
So, I usually toggle a couple of times each day between the two settings.
