Sharpening ON/OFF Toggel-Switch in contact sheet / preview window

At the moment one can turn sharpening on or off only in the preview tab of the preference window.

Would it be possible to have a toggle switch (like there is for color manangement on/off) in the contact sheet and preview window?

Of course it would be possible.  Do you find yourself changing the setting often?

Yes, I toggle between sharpening on and off quite a bit:

If I ingest new pic (RAW) I usually have sharpening ON as the pics in camera are recorded without any sharpening applied. The PM sharpening is just ideal to judge the critical sharpness (to counteract the anti-alias-filter of the camera).

After the pictures are processed in NX2 and CS the final version is usually with a slight amount of sharpening (somtimes local, sometimes general). But if I look at these with PM sharpening on (for example to select pics to send to customers), they look completely oversharpened and I have to turn it off again.

So, I usually toggle a couple of times each day between the two settings.

I am very much interested in this feature. Any idea if it will be made available? At least if the option becomes a menu item, one could use mac's keyboard shortcut as well.

Me too! I would use this a lot for the same reasons Juerg mentioned.

Yes please. I have requested this a couple of times before.

I usually have it turned on for my previews to give me a good vies of the final image but I would like to quickly turn it of when viewing pictures that I have already sharpened.

I would like something similar to the color management toggle - easy to se as well as change the status.
