Serial number disapperaing after "save photo as..."

I am using PM version 5.0, build 16765 (2682973)

When I "save photo as..." a raw (CR2) file in order to output as a jpg, the resulting jpg no longer shows the serial number in the info box. Is there a setting I am missing or will PM not save that info. I use the serial number on images to add IPTC info but doing that during ingest will not work in my work flow.

That type of information is stored in the proprietary Maker Note information and is not transferred to the JPEGs (or other formats) produced by PM.

You could always stash it away in one of the IPTC/XMP metadata fields and then it would be preserved.
