How do I make (save-as) a JPG measuring 50mp when opened?

(50mp = open dimensions, not closed file size).

The length of the longest edge should be 5200 pixels if possible, and that would decrease to meet the above specs.

Possible? How?

In the Save As dialog, set the Scale to Box and enter 5200 pixels.

Kirk, It's easy to re-size an image. What I need to do is make it 50mp.

* 5200 length (longest edge) would be suitable most of the time, but for square crops, the file would be too big.

The reason this needs to happen:
I'm using ImageMagic (on someone else's server) to do various tasks, and the way it is set up produces errors (or fails) on files larger than 50mp. It's not possible for me to change that, and easier to send 50mp files.

To clarify:
Would like to use PM to save-as 50mp (rather than any particular length).

Is that possible?

As an example, I re-sized two images to 50mp (one at a time) using Photoshop:

1) Measures 4720 x 3701 pixels = 50mp

2) Measures 4100 x 4254 pixels = 50mp

Is that clear?

Yes.  There is no way to automatically adjust the width and the height (keeping the aspect ratio) and have it come out to 50mp.  PM offers the ability to scale the largest dimension to a particular size in pixels/inches/cm but not one where the scaled width*height=50mp.

Many thanks for your replies.

In the past I have managed to do this using scraps of other software, but my experience (but not everyones) indicates the meta data is often damaged during export.
