Using Macros to convert to DNG
« on: January 11, 2016, 10:19:34 AM »
Hi everyone.

I'm really keen to find a way to incorporate Convert to DNG into my Ingest process.

I often get back from shoots late at night and want to be able to ingest from a couple of cards, and have PM automatically create a separate folder of DNGs that would then get picked up by my Cloud software and be uploaded overnight while I slept.

I emailed CameraBits about this but they said it's not currently possible, that I'd have to use the Tools > Convert to DNG option after I've finished the Ingest. But that sort of defeats the purpose of trying to automate it as then I need to stay up to do it manually.

Have any of you successfully used macros with PM, and can you give me any advice about what programme is best to use and whether this sort of thing is feasible? Hoping someone else has come up against this before and might be able to help.

Thanks a lot in advance,

Sam
