PM / LR IPTC Editing

I use PM to caption and add notes to images - a couple fields Special instructions & edit Status- I use for client contact info & order info because they are not uploaded to zenfolio (or at least not visible) But LR can not as far as I know edit these fields.
My question - If I change the info in these field AFTER I did any work in LR - LR wants to import the "edited" metadata but will loose the develop metadata to accept the contact data.
do you have any idea how to keep both or edit the IPTC in PM without loosing the develop work?

You'll need to force LR to write out its edits to your files.  PM will preserve them when it updates the files.  Look at the "Metadata" menu in LR.  There should be an option to write the current metadata out to the actual files.
