Can't get Live Ingest to import TIF files

I'm using Silverligt Ai Studio to scan a large amount of both slide an negative film. I'm very satisfied with the scanner, but I'm running into trouble using PM to process the scanned files.

Silverlight outputs large 48-bit TIF files in an output folder. These I currently rename manually with PM, but it seems like an ideal situation for Live Ingest.

However, it doesn't seem to work. No matter what I do, Live Ingest just sits there waiting for files to appear. Yes, I have waited up to 30 minutes.

Is there anything I could have missed? Does Live ingest work with TIF?

Live Ingest only works with JPEG and RAW file types.  It ignores other non-RAW types such as TIFF, PNG, and all movie formats.

OK, so that was almost what I thought. Can I suggest this for a future feature? I can't make silverfast output in DNG even though I would like it to.
