JPG and date change

I was looking for information but I did not find it. If I change the date or time in JPG, will this affect the quality of the JPG or not? I assume not but I wanted to confirm.

All metadata changes have no impact on the quality of the image.  Date/Time, IPTC captions, ratings, color class, tag, crop, etc. do not modify the image data.
