batch copy of IPTC-Caption to IPTC-Headline possible

... is it possible to batch-copy different IPTC-Caption data of a whole folder to the IPTC-headline-field??? I need this for an external program which reads the IPTC-data different so that I have to change content of those fields.

Would be great if there is any chance ... did not find a solution so far.

Yes, you can do this with the IPTC Stationery Pad.  Select your photos.  Then open the IPTC Stationery Pad from the Image menu.  In the Headline field enter:

{caption}

If any other fields have checkmarks next to them that are set, un-check them.  Then Apply the IPTC Stationery Pad.

That should do it.
