Question about Code Replacements from a Newbie
« on: October 11, 2016, 11:02:18 AM »
I'm new to Photo Mechanic and not sure I'm understanding code replacements. Here is a sample of a code replacement file i created.

ts5   Texas Stars Defenseman Mattias Backman #5
ts6   Texas Stars Defenseman Julius Honka #6
ts7   Texas Stars Defenseman Mike McMurtry #7
ts8   Texas Stars Forward Cory Kane #8
ts9   Texas Stars Forward Remi Elie #9
ts10   Texas Stars Center Justin Dowling #10
ts11   Texas Stars Right Wing Branden Troock #11
ts12   Texas Stars Defenseman Brandon Anselmini #12
ts14   Texas Stars Center Gemel Smith #14

As I understand it to get Cory Kane's information to show up I would need to type \ts8 and space.
For some reason I have to type \ts8\ and then it shows up. Is this set up correctly. Sure seems like a lot of steps. I used Photo Mechanic several years ago and thought I just typed \ts8 and space but I could be wrong. I've attached the whole code replacement file for the Texas Stars if anyone would like to take a look at it and make sure it's set up correctly. Thanks!

It has always been 'delimiter' 'code' 'delimiter', so in your case using the default delimiter you enter:

\ts8\

You can customize the delimiter character to something you find easier to type than the default backslash.
