Color profile matching
« on: January 18, 2017, 02:51:42 PM »
Hi,

I am running Photo Mechanic version 5, 17719 (c8049ca) on Mac 10.11.6.

Lately I have been noticing that the color matching in the preview window has been randomly switching on and off, sometimes staying off for one image and on for another.  I did a side-by-side screenshot, I'll attach.

Thanks,

Will

If PM runs out of memory while trying to color manage a photo, it will show the unmanaged photo anyway.  Usually there will be a log message when this occurs.  I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Try reducing the Memory Cache setting in the Caching section of the Preferences dialog.  More isn't always better.  Try 256 or even 128 for the size.

HTH,
