Import .PMX file problem
« on: March 06, 2017, 11:49:03 AM »
Hello all,

I have been sent a .PMX file to import into PM to add some relevant fields for Getty requirements. When loading it into PM, however, it seems like a blank file.  The first image is a screenshot of the import box.  I have loaded the .PMX file into TextWrangler and there are (what I guess) fields which can be added within PM. I've added a screenshot of the TextWrangler file to show that it isn't blank.

I know the PM file isn't updated as I can't see the fields that Getty require (Personality is one) inside the IPTC fields.

Can anyone explain how I can add the newer PMX file into PM please?

I'm running Mac Yosemite 10.10.5 and Photomechanic 4.6.9, 8GB RAM.

I am grateful,

Dan Minto

Can you post the PMX file here?  Did the PMX file come from another PM 4.6.x version or a PM5 version?

BTW, the Getty fields only exist in PM5.

Thank you Kirk, I think the problem was I was using an old version of PM. I've bought the upgrade and the fields can be populated.

Kind regards,

Dan
