Auto advance to next photo in contact sheet doesn't work.
« on: March 14, 2017, 01:40:54 PM »
After the update to Version 5.0, build 18327 (5034d39) the auto advance to next photo didn't work anymore.
I use MacOS 10.12.3 (16D32) I use jpeg and Fuji RAW Files.
In preview mode it's working fine.

Kind regards
Birger

Birger,

The Contact Sheet has never offered an "auto advance" feature.

Could you describe in more detail what PM used to do (in builds previous to 18327) and how it behaves in build 18327?

Thanks,

-Kirk

Hello Kirk,

I would have bet that I have auto advance in contact sheet view ;-D
I use the previous PM5 R18040 Version.

Thank you for reminding me.
Regards!
Birger

I would have bet that I have auto advance in contact sheet view

If auto advance to next photo alternatives are ticked in Preferences->Preview AND the Contact sheet is open on one monitor AND  the Preview is open on a second monitor AND focus is set to the second monitor (click once on the previewed image) THEN I get auto advance when using a keyboard shortcut to change Tag, Color Class  or Rating.

The preview advances, and so does the highlight marking the thumbnail in the Contact sheet, but this may not be what you refer to.

I use Windows (10).

You must also have set:

Quote
Synchronize single selection between Preview and Contact Sheet:' You can uncheck this option if you want to keep a single image selected in the Contact Sheet while you advance through images in the Preview window.

Synchronize single selection between Preview and Contact Sheet

It is indeed on/checked. Thanks, I forgot/overlooked that setting when trying to describe how auto advance appears to work with the contact sheet in my end. My main concern was that I perhaps do not understand what Birger K. expects and if the auto advance he remembers is related to changing tag/color class/rank or not.
