Issues with codes

I'm using the latest build of Photo Mechanic (Version 5.0, build 16299 (579a307)) on a 15" MBP Retina and am occasionally having issues with my code replacements not working correctly. I'm getting part of the code displaying like 'Leicester City defender' instead of 'Leicester City defender Fred Bloggs ('. I create all my teams by copying and paste my teams from Wikki and paste as default text.

All has been OK until the last few weeks.

Any idea what's going on?
