Export IPTC into Excel
« on: January 11, 2019, 09:11:58 PM »
Hi

Want to bulk export IPTC data into Excel.

Have tried the steps given in earlier post as given in link below -
http://forums.camerabits.com/index.php?topic=1059.msg4848#msg4848

It all goes fine till entering variables with tabs - {caption}{tab}{copyright}{tab}{credit}{tab}{keywords}{tab}
But after that when you click on Export - Save as Type - doesn't show any options at all.
Ideally one should be able to choose CSV or any other format here.

What am I missing.

Could somebody help please.

Please post a screenshot of what you're seeing.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply Kirk.

Screenshot attached. Save as Type in Blue doesn't give any option.

I believe it is asking you to choose a folder to export into.  No need for a file extension on a folder.

Thanks Kirk.

You're right. Once you select the folder a file gets saved.
Which you can then open in Word. (For some reason it doesn't open in Excel)
But then you can copy paste the data in Excel.
