PM6 installation failure

I have PM5 installed on a Windows 10 desktop and a Windows 10 laptop.  The desktop PM6 installation went fine.

After installing PM6 on the laptop I get "One of PM's subsystems failed to initialize.  This may indicate an installation issue."  I re-ran the install and selected Repair.  Same result.  I uninstalled PM6 and reinstalled.  Same result.
