Dynamic UI system is taking awhile to stop
« on: March 28, 2019, 07:23:28 AM »
Hello,
First time using PM6.
When closing the app, I get this dialog box:
"The Dynamic UI system is taking awhile to stop. Continue waiting?"
I press "yes" and that's all. Closed.
What is going on?
Thanks!

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Thanks,

Frank,

Hi Kirk File attached

Thanks.  Do you have some disk that is mounted but takes a really long time to respond?  Perhaps an external drive that goes to sleep or a NAS that is offline?

One of the worker threads is not receiving the data it needs from the disks attached to your computer and delays the shutdown of PM.

Hi Kirk

I have a Seagate 4 Tb backup did that is on all the time for time machine backup. However I also have another two drives inserted into adapter which I will try disconnecting.

That appears to be the culprit. The two external HDD are now ejected and turned off, the time machine backup still running. PM6 shut down without any problems.

Thanks again Kirk, first class support as always.
