Moving folders does not update navigator/favorites. Need to manually refresh

When you move folders, navigator view on the left does NOT update. You need to refresh for it to be seen, even after reopening PM6.

Same seems to happen, not always, when there are subfolders. I knew there were subfolders in one of my folders, but they did not appear until I did a refresh.

I'm having a similar problem using Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 3023 on a Mac, High Sierra 10.13.6

When creating a new folder in an external HD, a new & highlighted  'untitled folder' fails to show in the folder list. Instead, the highlight jumps to an already used, seemingly random, folder further down the list structure.

Looking at the ext HD in the Finder shows the Untitled folder has been created, and I can rename it, but it doesn't show in PM until PM is restarted. Refreshing PM doesn't update the navigator.

I can create a folder on the internal HD no problem, but not sure what the issue is.

Any ideas gratefully received.

If you collapse and expand the tree with the new folder in the navigator, does it show then? So far for me this has always worked. No need to restart PM.

That doesn't work here. Neither does a computer or ext HD restart

Sure it's something simple, a wrong setting somewhere?

Hmm, just tried this with the latest 3065 build and while the folder list does not correctly update, the folder I created does show and I can move it as well (collapsing/expanding shows the correct content again). I explicitly tested with an external (USB connected) drive, but that worked too.

Note: do you have access rights to create new directories at the place you tried? If you don't have access rights, nothing will get created/moved (I consider it a bug though that PM does not warn you about the failure @Kirk, can you warn the user in case of a failure to create/move?).

Yes I have permissions, and the untitled folders are registering on the ext HD.

I can do all these operations fine when I use PM5

The procedure is simple. Move a folder from another disc to the one that has PM6 folder directory. The moved or deleted folder still appears in the PM list and the newly moved folder does not show. Refresh until the moved folder is no longer showing and refresh the destination folder list will finally show the new folder.

When you have subfolders, they are not always shown (even if you have admin rights to the Macos). You need to refresh that folder list to have the expand arrows appear.
