Cannot update IPTC or rename files on PC server

Hi,

I am running PM 6 on a late 2015 iMac. I am able to update IPTC and rename files on my local server, and my local hard drive.

However, I am unable to do the same with photos or footage I have housed on a networked PC based server.

Any suggestions as to how I should configure my PC to allow this? It is a ProMAX System Platform server.
