Why rating JPegs are MUCH slower than RAWs?
« on: September 15, 2019, 08:27:26 AM »
With PM6 (didn’t try 5) when I apply a color tag to a jpeg file theres a solid 1sec delay/freeze until I can move to the next pictures. This doesn’t happen with RAWs and its driving me crazy, as I can’t cull as fast with jpegs.

Hmm, this shouldn't happen. Can you be a bot more specific to your situation? At minimum your OS (version), PM6 build number (see about), and the file locations (SSD/Hard Drive/Network/USB Stick/...).

Version 6.0, build 3558 (afa5073), MacOS Mojave (mac mini 2018) and all my files are on a usb3 DAS. Like I said, I can tag GFX100 raw files at the speed of light, but somehow jpeg files hang everytime a color tag is applied.
