Thumbnails for video missing - writing metadata to MP4 or MOV files?

Hi,
I'm trying out the newest version of PM and I want to use it to add keywords, descriptions, rating and geodata to videofiles (MP4 or MOV) but I cannot even see the thumbnails. Anything I do wrong? I work with a PC on Windows 10. If PM does not work for this, can you suggest any other software I can use? I want to be able to mark several clips at a time to speed up the process. Thanks for any help!
