Small cosmetic issue with Catalog Management dialog box
« on: October 24, 2019, 05:16:16 PM »
The Catalog Management dialog box always opens too small and looks bad.  Small cosmetic issue but worth a quick fix.  Screenshot below.

build 3783
macOS 10.14.6

I just had some very weird things happen with this dialog box too. Under the “Local Catalogs” heading, catalogs are usually listed vertically. On one occasion it spontaneously switched (in the middle of working on it) so that my 2nd catalog was shown to the right of the 1st rather than under it. The dialog box itself did not change size though, so at first I couldn’t figure out where my 2nd catalog had gone. It was just by chance that I figured out I could now scroll horizontally, where I found it off to the right. After quitting and restarting PM it was back to normal.

Another time while in that same dialog box, the “Forget, Rename, Delete” buttons, which are normally black-text-on-white, changed to white-text-on-black instead. Nothing else changed, just the buttons. And again it just spontaneously changed all by itself while I was working, and went back to normal after relaunching PM.

Sorry Kirk, I should have taken screenshots, but I will if it happens again.

If you resize it and close it, does it remember the size you set (after quitting and restarting the app)?

I just opened the Manage Catalog dialog to find the white-on-black thing I described earlier. To test further I opened the rest of the dialogs under the Catalog menu, and they were all reversed as well. However, the moment I opened Catalog Preferences, the other dialog boxes I still had open suddenly switched back to black-on-white.

Hi Kirk,

already tried that but the size is not remembered.  Expanding the Test catalog (as in the screen shot) cause the window to be wider and the Close button to be partially outside the dialog box.
