Strange behavior when saving .PSD files as .JPG

Hello everyone.

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this issue as well? If not, can someone look into this, please. Checking large amount fo files if they are correct is so annoying.
When saving x amount of .PSD files as .JPG not exact content is created. The amount of photographs is the same but not all photographs are included, some of them are just replaced by duplicates.

What version and build of Photo Mechanic are you using?  What OS are you running on your computer?

Are any errors reported?

No errors reported. All looks like there is no issues at all. I almost missed it.

I am currently on OS Catalina with Photo Mechanic Version 6.0, build 3954 (158b808)

However, the problem existed on the Mojave as well. I think for the last or two PM updates. I did not report earlier as I thought the problem will disappear with the next update.

I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Nothing strange there. Settings I have used for years. Never had any issues.

Settings look good.  Is there a particular image or several images that always fail to save?  Or is it random?  As for the duplicates, are you saving to the same folder each time?  If so, if a file is saved twice to the same folder the renaming collision resolution will kick in and add letters or digits to allow both files to exist in the same folder.

Same set of images saved to any folder results in some images missing and some duplicates being created keeping file names correct and continuos.
Have a look at the print screens I have shown above.

This happens with any work files I am trying to save. Does not matter if I am saving 20 or 600, some are being changed/replaced.

What happens if you use some other source image format, say JPEG and save as JPEG, does the same thing happen or is it only with PSDs that this problem occurs?

OK, then I'm going to have to add some logging code and have you reproduce the problem and then share the logs.  Are you willing to do that with me?
