Copy photo
« on: December 06, 2019, 10:29:47 AM »
To copy a photo (Nef, 40Mo) from a catalog (17000 images) to another one (150 images) on the same hard disk, it takes more than 15 sec. If I make a copy-paste from one folder to another, only 2 sec.
Sure, the reference table must be updated, but I'm talking about one image. When there are some of them, its longer, of course (about 1 mn for 5 to 10 if I remember well).
In Contact Sheet preferences, Rescan on resume is not checked.
Thanks

Is this an observation?  Or is there some problem?  What OS are you running?

Mac OS 10.13.6
For me it's a problem to have to wait 15-25 sec to copy a single photo (a Nef from a D800) from a folder to a photo from a folder to another one through PM6+

Mysteriously to day, only 5 to 10 sec when I've used this function several times before (15-20 sec at the beginning of the session).

And so mysteriously, it's faster with more than one photo (ex 4-6) than with only one!!
