Some variable text values do not appear in Watermarks

Windows 10, PMP build 4706 AND PM6 (latest version)

I have 300+ photos all with values for {object} but only some photos use the text for watermarking.

Attached are two photos, one where the issue appears and the other which works fine.  Also attached is a screenshot of my watermark dialog box.

One interesting thing is that for the photos where the watermark does not use {object} then all other watermark text does not appear either.

This also happens with PM6.

Using your settings and your two images, both images watermarked just fine for me on Windows 10.  Can I see a screenshot of your Save As dialog as well?

Hmm.  Even with your Save As settings I cannot reproduce the problem.  The images are much smaller due to the small box size you're scaling into, but they both have the text.  When you encounter the problem, which of the two images fails?

Anemonefish, Australian_IMG_1299.jpg  fails.

As I mentioned earlier this also happens with PM6.

Probably as many as half of my 303 pictures fail and ALL the time so there is no randomness about it.

Photo Mechanic Plus is PM6 with Catalog features added so both apps should have the same issue.

Hi Kirk,

I decided to revisit this issue and found that scaling the photos down to fit a box of 600 pixels causes the issue.  Turning off scaling (larger image than 600) and the watermark appears.

Even though the watermark is set to a percentage of the image I would think that it should always appear no matter how small the output size unless there is a limit to the font size that can be rendered.

There may be some issue with sizing fonts to fit the image size.

If the font size gets below 6pt and the text still can't be rendered without clipping then no watermarking occurs.
