Opening up images into capture 1 Nikon express

Can someone tell me how to import images into Capture 1 from P/Mech?  When I hit command e to transfer the images, Capture 1 tells me to create a sub folder. This I don't understand so I need some help.

Have you tried selecting the images in PM and then dragging them onto Capture One?  That may work better than trying to use it as an editor.
