I am not sure if the Labels are correct for colors.

What part is incorrect?  They make sense to me.

I guess I am confused as to what all these items refer to. When viewing side-by-side you have borders of different colours depending on selected photo. So where or what is the Selected Set and it's corresponding Text.

Maybe I am missing something and need to study the manual again.

Those are for the two pages of the thumbnail gallery.  One gallery shows all images, the other shows the selected images, the colors you indicated have to do with the selected images thumbnail gallery.
