I’m trying out Photo Mechanic for use with Capture One and so far I quite like it.
I use Final Cut Pro X to edit video and I’m intrigued by the fact that PM recognises .MOV files and will play them on a Mac.
Does PM Support, or others, know whether Final Cut will recognise metadata that PM has written for .MOV files? I wonder whether the answer has to do with whether the metadata is embedded or XMP sidecar. As video editors go, Final Cut itself has strong metadata capability, but if it works there may be some benefits to using PM before video files are opened in Final Cut.
