Okay- cleared keywords from image selected one path from the structured keyword panel and then clicked apply path to selected. So unless I'm mistaken  the keywords in the image (XMP) should be in a hierarchy. I have literally just done this Ive attached image and XMP

Trevor,

I see what the problem is.  The "Use separator between keywords in path" checkbox is off.  Please turn it on and repeat your steps.  It should solve the problem.
