star ratings "stuck"
« on: November 16, 2020, 08:29:52 AM »
Hi,

I'm seeing an odd bit of behavior. For some reason, when I open a contact sheet tab from the Naviagtor or from the file system, the star ratings filter sets itself to "on" and three stars or above.

Have I corrupted a prefs file or something?

No, it's more likely that you've set a preference.  Set your 5-star rating filter the way you want it to be.  Then right-click on the 5-star rating filter and choose "Set as default".  The problem should be fixed.

Yup. That was it. My bad.

I often find my hand drifting toward the right side of the touchpad. I bet I swept stars on or off and accidentally did it with my thumb on the right side of the pad. I do this too many times on a Mac that has a centered pad. As you could imagine, on a Dell laptop with its offset touchpad, I'm downright dangerous.

Thanks!
