Sumarization in 'Locations Shown' is wrong

I have exactly the same data in 'Location Created' and in 'Locations Shown' (triple checked it). But the numbers expressing the number of photographs are different in the corresponding sections.

Example for 'Country Code', but it's the same for other tags as well:

• 'Location Created' shows there are 6 photos in DEU and it's right.
• 'Locations Shown' shows there are 4 photos in DEU and it's wrong.
• Clicking on DEU in 'Locations Shown' shows 4 photos in the main pane.
• Clicking on DEU in 'Location Created' shows 6 photos in the main pane and number at DEU in 'Locations Shown' is changing from 4 to 6 automatically.
• Clicking on DEU in 'Locations Shown' shows 6 photos in the main pane and number at DEU in 'Locations Shown' is changing from 6 to 4 automatically.
• Clicking on DEU again in 'Locations Shown' shows 4 photos in the main pane.

Don't get me wrong, Photo Mechanic Plus is amazing software, although I do nothing but report bugs.

Could you try turning on CATALOG_DEBUG_LOGGING ?  In the Catalog menu, choose "[Configure Debug Logging]" and in the window that appears, set the checkbox for the item labeled "CATALOG_DEBUG_LOGGING".  Then click Close.  Quit Photo Mechanic Plus and start it up again.  Then reproduce the problem you illustrated in your animated GIF.  Finally, go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..."

Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload the zipped log file.

I couldn't follow your steps. I found CATALOG_DEBUG_LOGGING right after clicking 'Help' > 'Edit Debug Setting'. Is it right place where I checked CATALOG_DEBUG_LOGGING?

Does your RAF file have an XMP sidecar file?  Could you post that as well?

We're still unable to reproduce the problem with your files.  It could be an IPTC/XMP setting.  Could you take a screenshot of the IPTC/XMP page of the Preferences dialog and post it here, please?
