new photo mechanic 6 user needs help. i dont see my sd card showing up

i am trying to figure out how to use.  i dont see my sd card showing up if i go to ingest?  i am on a laptop with internal sd drive a dell

if i go to folders for photos already on my ehd i get a message there are no photos but i know there are... photos are in raw...sony a7iii camera

Have you removed the card from the camera and inserted it into a card reader attached to your computer?  Photo Mechanic only works with card readers.

Thanks, I had an issue with that as well! I'm now using the built-in card reader of my laptop to read pictures. For the record, it works with a micro-SD card in a SD adapter, too.
