I'd like to see your Photo Mechanic log.  In Photo Mechanic go to the Help menu and choose "Reveal Support Data..." and moments later a Finder window will come forward with the zipped log file selected.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your zipped PM log file.

Thanks,

-Kirk

Hi Kirk, thanks in advance for your investigations. :D

Seems like the BMP file may be bad?

NRFMacBitmap.cpp:962 *** PM4 ZERO-SIZE BITMAP ERROR: NRFMacBitmap::internalCreate: called with width=0 height=0
NRFMacBitmap.cpp:271 NRFMacBitmap::NRFBitmapAllocatorProc() unable to create data provider
NRFBitmapBase.cpp:657 NRF failed to load '/Users/tilmanlo/Desktop/Kabatek_Foto.bmp' with error 7

Width and height were both zero.

I have tried a lot of BMPs. It does not work. I saved this Kabatek.BMP fresh from Photoshop, but that doesn't work either. I wanted to convert very many BMPs with PM 6, but unfortunately it doesn't work. Kind regards, Tilman

Please post one and I'll investigate further.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your sample file.

Thanks,

I was able to reproduce the problem and fix it.  The fix will appear in the next build of Photo Mechanic 6 and Photo Mechanic Plus.

Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

That's fantastic how quickly you guys respond to issues like this. Photo Mechanic is also great because of this. Thank you!
I have here several 1000 bmp from a museum archive. I never work with bmp files because they don't contain metadata and color profiles...That's why I want to convert them.
