"Creator's Identity" check box not cleared on IPTC template panel

When I press the "Clear" button on the "Metadata (IPTC) Template" panel, all the checkboxes become unchecked except "Creator's Identity". 

Minor issue, but something for a future point release.

Did you set that field to be cleared?  It clears both the field and the apply checkbox for me.  But I do have both set to be cleared in my preferences.

I checked again and "Creator's Identity" is enabled and visible.  Whenever I click "Clear", all fields and checkboxes are emptied in the template except "Creator's Identity" check box and field value.  This is the master "template" panel that I would apply by selecting 1 or more images and clicking CTRL/CMD+I.

Mike,

Show me your clear settings.  Move your mouse pointer to the "Clear" button and then hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.  The button will change to "Settings".  Click on it while you continue to hold down the Shift key.  You will then get the "Clear Settings" dialog.  Look for the "Creator's Identity" field in the list.  Are the check boxes checked?

Mine are, and that field is cleared (and its Apply check box) when I click the Clear button.

OK, I have used PM for almost 13-14 years and I *NEVER* knew about that feature to adjust what gets cleared.

Disregard.  The system is behaving as expected.

On the Mac this is accessed via the Option key vs Shift? I see OK becomes Eval also. What does Eval do? Thanks

We call it the "Modifier Key", which is Shift on Windows and Option on macOS.

Eval evaluates any variables you have entered so you can see the result before you accept the changes.
