Error reading caption from photo

Hi, I'm getting this warning, it won't let me save the changes to Metadata.  It shuts down my image and shows an xmp file. 
Interestingly, I can save with the arrow going to the left/backward with no problem but every time I try saving to the right/forward I get the message.

Help needed please.

What build of Photo Mechanic are you using?
What is the file format of the image you're trying to edit?

It was a Tiff Kirk and the latest update.

I've tried using the forward arrow, without the save and I get the same result.

Could you share the TIFF file in question?  If it's not something you would want to share publicly, you can contact me privately by clicking on my name to the left of this post and then use the "personal message" link and we'll work out a way to share the image privately.

Based on your description, it may be the next image that is the problem, not the one you're editing.

Well Kirk, good news and bad news! 

I deleted a couple of RAW files, in the same folder (contact sheet) but situated four or five files away from the Tiffs causing the problem and the issued seems to have gone away.

I suppose the bad news is, if there is/was a bug then I doubt if it can be found now.

If I get another occurrence, I'll let you know.  Thanks for your help.
