Search without file path?
« on: July 27, 2021, 09:18:22 PM »
Photo Mechanic Plus Version 6.0, build 5820 (a6fdfbc)
macOS 10.14

Having the entire file path as part of quick search results can be problematic. Lets say a main photos folder is called "finished photos" and I search for the word "shed". Every photo in my archive will show up in the results. I realize I can just search for just keywords or caption etc, but what if I want to search ALL metadata, just not the file path? Is this possible? I've never needed or wanted the file path as part of a search result so it would be nice if that could be turned off.

It is our intention for the default set of fields searched (when none are specified) to be chosen by the user.  That feature does not yet exist.
