I'm new to Photo Mechanic and it's like wading through treacle trying to find out what screens do, what menus do and so forth.

The online documents don't cover everything (for example Edit->Clear Transferred does what, exactly? I can't find anything in the online help for it).

Popup Tooltips over buttons and menu items and the ability to press F1 and get some help would make the program much easier to get into.

For an example, look at Photo Ninja from Picturecode.

That's a great suggestion. I'm not sure if our current user interface supports tooltips, but one of the things we do want to focus on is improving usability for everyone.

As a new user of PM6 I agree with this request.

I've already come across several screens/fields that do not makes sense to me initially, but a simple help/hint in context would be useful.

Even a "?" on a screen, which when pressed takes you to the relevant help page would be great.
