Ingest to NAS silly question

When I Ingest. I first Ingest to a folder om my computer.
When I'm online i will have the folder to my NAS How do will I do that In a easy way

I suggest using Grsync: http://www.opbyte.it/grsync/

It will make the folder on your computer exactly the same on your NAS.

What is a dashboard?

Is your catalog itself (the folder containing the catalog database and proxy images) on the NAS?

OK, so you first ingest to your laptop because the NAS is unavailable.  Then when you're back at your home/office you have access to your NAS and you want your images and any edits you made to be mirrored on your NAS.

If that is correct, then using Grsync would work brilliantly.  If the above is incorrect, then please explain your situation and what you want to accomplish in more detail, please.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking.

Catalogs only know about what images you've added to them either manually (Include Selected Items) or via Scan to Catalog, Catalog Sync, or by adding them during Ingest.  If those images are added and exist on your internal hard drive at the time then that is what is in your catalog.  Having duplicates on your NAS will not be known to the catalog unless you also add the images on the NAS to the catalog (but then you'll have duplicates.)

I don't know if this helps you in your situation because you have not provided further details.
