Thanks for all!

I change captions for different clients and different photos.

To ensure I dont send the wrong one to the wrong client I now have to click the photo in the contact sheet!

But is it possible to add captions to the black box which appears when going over a photo?

That would save a lot of time (well some seconds which is also a lot..)

Yes.  Go to Edit->Settings->Set Info Text...

At the top of the text enter:

Caption: {caption}

Accept the changes.

That should do it.

Or you could have the {caption} (or any other variable, such as {client}) display as one of the contact sheet labels. Go to Preferences -> Contact Sheet and look at the "Labels" section.  Also note that when you click Set Info Text, it will change the Info text that appears in the Preview Window to what you just used.  So, I use multiple Info Text Snapshots so I can change among different sets of Variables I might be interested in seeing either in the hover or in Preview. See the Attachment for examples.
