Catalog slow update

when I'm opening a catalog it take to long time to see the previews in browse window. If  I scroll down in browser window It can take several minutes to see the previews in the browser. Is there a way to fix this. Mac OS Big Sur Macbook pro 16" intelcore I7 32 mb memory 1 tb hard drive The Catalog is on  a Raid and database on Local hdd on laptop.

Is the RAID disk local (directly connected to your Mac) or is it a networked drive?

Ok, there's no current setting that will improve things when the original image is available and is located on a slow device.  I'd like to add an option to use the local proxy images for user preferred disks.  In that case you'd mark your RAID array as a disk that proxies are preferred.  This would result in thumbnails and previews appearing instantly but at lower quality.

I´m not sure what you mean. How do I do that?  Can you explain. My raid is a synology raid or is it in the settings PM+

The feature does not exist at this time.  I will be adding it in the future.
